Senior Expert, NATO Strategic Communication Centre of Excellence
Guna Šnore is a senior expert of the Education and Training Branch at the NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence in Riga, Latvia. Before joining the Centre at the beginning of 2017 - she spent 11 years at NATO HQ in Brussels, Belgium, where she first served as Latvian Diplomat followed by working as Program Manager of the Public Diplomacy Division of NATO International Staff (IS). Throughout her career at NATO IS she has been in charge of collective defence and defence capabilities related public diplomacy program and cooperation with non-governmental partners across the Alliance. From 2017 to 2023 she has also been serving as the strategic communications advisor to the Prime Minister of Latvia. In this capacity, among other tasks she has worked on setting up national strategic communications capabilities, including the Strategic Communication Division at the State Chancellery, as well as lead ad-hoc crisis stratcom Task-Forces. Currently she is in charge of developing and delivering training and education programs at NATO StratCom CoE and leading the development of Information Environment Simulation Range.
